Auburn Valley YMCA
Help fight food insecurity and support neighbors in your community through YMCA food access and meal support programs. Volunteers play an important role in helping individuals and families access nutritious food in a welcoming, respectful, and community-centered environment. Opportunities may include sorting and organizing donations, preparing and distributing food, setting up service areas, welcoming community members, and helping create a positive experience for everyone who visits. Whether supporting a food pantry, meal distribution, or donation effort, volunteers help strengthen community connections while ensuring people feel cared for and supported. This is a great opportunity for volunteers who enjoy hands-on service, working with others, and making a meaningful impact in their local community.

YMCA Earth Service Corps has been supporting environmental service projects and leadership development for over twenty years. We have the knowledge and experience to help teens, clubs and schools reach new heights, develop youth leaders and create meaningful change in the community. Teens meet weekly to take on the environmental issues facing their communities and create projects to address these needs. Club meetings take place before, during or after school. Meetings can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours and are led by youth leaders, YMCA staff and Teacher Advisors.

For some kids, school is the only place they are sure to get a meal. The Y is working to change that. Help us prepare backpack meals for kids who identify as being homeless in our community. Bags are filled with food that is child-friendly, nutritious, non-perishable, and easy to eat. Help us develop a sustainable program that will serve youth.
