Auburn Valley YMCA

Players age 12 to 15 celebrate the love of the game in this youth basketball league. Legends focus on learning plays, practicing teamwork and building fundamental skills. Teams participate at a higher level of competition that helps prepare them for playing in school leagues and throughout their entire life. Teams are formed by YMCA staff. We practice once per week and play games on the weekend, including home games and games against other YMCAs in the region. All teams are led by volunteer coaches. Volunteer age requirement: 18+ 19+, 20+, and 21+

For some kids, school is the only place they are sure to get a meal. The Y is working to change that. Help us prepare backpack meals for kids who identify as being homeless in our community. The Y hosts weekly meals in partnership with the Ronald United Methodist Church. Volunteers would support meal program by assisting with meal prep, setup, breakdown, cleaning, and facilitating. Food Workers Card is required for some jobs but not all, so feel free to sign up even if you do not have one! The entrance to the kitchen is in the back of the church, down a ramp from the parking lot. The door is usually propped open but if it's locked please knock loudly. Snoqualmie Valley YMCA

Minis basketball is the perfect introduction to the sport for ages 3 to 5! It is an instructional and recreational 8 class program designed for preschoolers to have fun while learning rules and skills of the game. Kids practice the fundamentals of basketball like dribbling, shooting, passing and in most cases, going the right way down the court through fun drills and games. The focus in this program is on inclusion, teamwork, sportsmanship and building confidence. Minis don't play official games or keep score, it's all about fun and learning! All teams are co-ed and led by YMCA staff. This league requires parental involvement to help encourage the most fun and participation. Practices with scrimmages are held once per week. Volunteer Minimum Age: 13+ 14+, 15+, 16+, 17+, 18+, 19+, 20+, and 21+

The YMCA of Greater Seattle is looking for volunteers to help sell raffle tickets at two different Seattle Seahawks football games. Volunteers will walk around the stadium and interact with guests to sell raffle tickets. ***VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS*** *Minimum age to volunteer is 18+. *Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Lumen Field. *Volunteers must be able to be present for the entire time slot which varies for each game. *All volunteers for the Seahawks game will be required to go through the Seattle Seahawks Credential process which will include providing the Seahawks with basic contact information and a photo. ***************************** * December 15 from 1pm - the end of the 3rd quarter (Game start time: 5:20pm). * December 22 from 9am - the end of the 3rd quarter. (Game start time: 1:05pm)
