Help create welcoming, motivating, and community-centered fitness experiences at the YMCA. Group Fitness volunteers support instructors and members in a wide variety of classes designed for all ages, abilities, and fitness levels, from cardio and strength training to yoga, dance, cycle, water fitness, and Active Older Adult classes. Volunteers help foster an encouraging environment where participants can move, connect, and build healthy habits while feeling supported and included. Opportunities may include greeting participants, assisting instructors with class setup and cleanup, helping members feel comfortable and confident, supporting equipment organization, and encouraging participation throughout class activities. YMCA Group Fitness programs focus on more than exercise. They help build confidence, reduce stress, strengthen community connections, and support whole-person health in a fun and inclusive environment. This is a great opportunity for volunteers who enjoy fitness, community engagement, and helping others feel welcomed, motivated, and successful in their wellness journey.
