Sammamish Community YMCA
Be part of the energy, connection, and community that make Y events special. Throughout the year, volunteers support one-time opportunities such as MLK Day of Service, Healthy Kids Day, seasonal festivals, and other community celebrations. Whether welcoming guests, lending a hand behind the scenes, supporting activities, or helping create a joyful experience for families, volunteers help bring the Y’s mission to life. Choose the events that match your interests, schedule, and availability, and make a meaningful impact in just one day.

Help teens and tweens serve, rally, and build confidence on the court at the Y! Volunteers will coach or assist with a one-hour class focused on badminton fundamentals and skill-building for participants ages 13–16. Support players through drills, games, and encouraging feedback while helping create a fun, active, and welcoming environment where teens can learn something new and connect with others. This is a great opportunity for volunteers who enjoy sports, mentoring youth, and bringing positive energy to the gym while modeling the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
