Love pickleball and bringing people together? Help create a fun, welcoming experience for players of all skill levels! As a Volunteer Pickleball Ambassador at the YMCA, you'll help facilitate open pickleball sessions, connect players, and ensure everyone feels included and has a great time on the court. What You'll Do: - Welcome players and help organize games during open pickleball sessions. - Introduce new players to the basics of pickleball, including rules, scoring, and gameplay. - Help match players based on skill level, experience, and preferred style of play. - Explain and reinforce court rules, etiquette, and good sportsmanship. - Assist with refereeing and resolving questions during games. - Foster a positive, inclusive, and enjoyable experience for all participants. Who We're Looking For: - Volunteers must be 18 years or older, have a good understanding of pickleball rules and gameplay, and enjoy helping others. Patience, strong communication skills, and a friendly, welcoming attitude are essential. - Volunteers must be available to attend scheduled open pickleball sessions to support and facilitate play. - Help build community, encourage friendly competition, and make every game a great experience at the Y!
